Digital Painting Tutorial by Tervola Digital Painting Tutorial by Tervola
*BIG file*

Here is the tutorial based on my previous work (I used it's PSD file for it). That's my own digital painting way and actualy a mix of different styles. The latest 14 works were made this way.

*I don't have Photoshop in english so I tried to translate all the options. I'm sorry if sometimes there is not prooper translation but I hope you will understand what I mean anyway ^^;

Hope it's clear enough. In case you don't understand something, feel free to ask question :)

thank you so much for the tut, one little question, when you say that you use blend modes for shading and light, which colors do you use for that, i mean you use pure black for shading and pure white for lights?

No, never pure colors like that. The best is to use colors form the middle of the color pallette, not too much saturated ones. It's good if you use for light and shadow some color, it makes picture look more iteresting ;)
